Pre-Camp Briefing #3

Good die mates!

This will be a short one. This post is about the game “Fulfillers and Dreamers”.

As the last post stated, we will be playing this game all through camp. It will start after briefing on Thursday the 15th and end right before lunch on Saturday the 17th. If you are one of those going back early on Saturday, we’ll figure something out.

The Game : Fulfillers and Dreamers
Difficulty : Easey Peasey Lemon Squeezy
How to play :
1) Each camp participant will randomly pick a piece of paper with another campers name written on it.
2) Some form of record will be taken.
3) The Fulfiller has to treat their Dreamer with extra attention and extra TLC without being found out.
4) The Dreamer has to try to guess who his/her Fulfiller is.
5) On the last day, all will be revealed.

Told you lemon squeezy! =)

Practical ideas on how to treat your Dreamer

The easiest way to be a nice Fulfiller is to shower your Dreamer with gifts. However, as you will only be able to “adopt” a Dreamer at camp itself, here are some gift (and other) ideas for all you Fulfillers:

a)  All things fluffy and pink.
Steer clear from gender specific gifts or anything-specific for that matter. It is better to be safe than sorry. If you buy something feminine and your Dreamer is a guy… :S . So don’t get a pedi-mani set, or girly items in girly colours. Like pink unicorns (Ugh!).

Please don’t get your Dreamer a T-Shirt. (*Hint: Guys, getting a girl the wrong size may offend her. O who am I kidding?! You will DEFINITELY offend her!) A notepad, bookmarks or maybe even a book works fine.

b) Less is more.
You are not required to get a RM88 Starbucks notebook for your Dreamer. But please don’t get the 20sen 555 notebooks! They don’t even qualify as notebooks. You can’t even use them in the loo if you run out of tissue!

A gift ranged between RM10 – RM20 is enough.

c) Quality, NOT quantity.
You DON’T have to buy the entire Memory Lane store. You also don’t need to prepare a hamper of gifts. One or two gifts will do. You’d be surprised, but a well-thought and well-written ( encouraging, NEAT and READABLE) card sometimes brings more encouragement than a gift.

Notes and cards are perfect as well. Just don’t give all notes (cheapskate)! The principle of the Kingdom is you get to keep what you give away. =) Again, steer clear of lacy and scented cards and whatnot.

d) TLC = Tender, Loving, Care.
Gifts are not the only way to show your affection and care for your Dreamer. Making sure they get their dessert, or an extra cup of coffee or even a place to sit at meal times are perfect ways of showing you care for your Dreamer. Make them feel appreciated and cared for in whatever way you can.

Yes, I am a hopeless romantic. 😉

e) What comes around goes around.
Dreamers! You can reciprocate your Fulfillers love by shouting out a “Thank You” with help from the MCs, Worship Leaders or Camp Committee (NOTE: This may only be done BEFORE sessions. Once a session has started, it’s back to business as usual!)

To those leaving early (Friday or Saturday), make sure you are EXTRA nice to your Dreamers in the time that you have. And likewise to those of you who are the Fulfillers for the Dreamers leaving earlier than everyone else. Let’s make this an enjoyable experience shall we? =)

FYI, Fulfiller is not a grammatically correct word, but still, it fits our camp nicely. 😎 Also, to add to the suspense, we will  only let you guys in on the details DURING the briefing itself.

That’s a wrap folks.

OOH! Before I forget. For the sake of everyone (AND I MEAN EVERRYONEE):

NO MORE PULL-OUTS PULEEZE!
